Renowned Nollywood actor Amaechi Muonagor is reaching out to Nigerians for financial assistance as he battles a debilitating illness.

Amaechi, who is currently hospitalized, shared the story from his hospital bed, revealing that he became paralyzed after suffering a stroke.

Due to the lack of improvement in his condition, he was transferred to Nnewi Teaching Hospital in Anambra, where he continues to receive medical treatment.

Amaechi recounted how seven months ago, on an ill-fated day, he had just wrapped up a strenuous film shoot alongside fellow actors Emeka Ani, Patience Ozokwo, Rita Edochie, and Ebele Okaro when he was suddenly struck by a severe stroke as he prepared to leave in his car.

Since that distressing day, his health has deteriorated significantly. He now faces the challenge of being unable to move his legs or walk independently, with half of his body paralyzed.

Amaechi expressed regret for not sharing his health struggles with the public earlier, as he never anticipated the prolonged battle with the illness.

He pleaded with Nigerians to assist him in raising funds for his medical treatment.

According to him, his paralysis has caused severe swellings in various parts of his body, making it impossible for him to eat.

He said further that, during his three-month stay at the current hospital, essential medications have been depleted, adding to his urgent need for financial support.
