A traditional ruler in Ogun State, Abraham Bankole, has been crushed to death by a truck.
Bankole, who was the Olu of Onibuku in Ado-Odo/Ota LGA, was hit while he was alighting from a tricycle at the Ota-Idiroko expressway, close to Winners Chapel.
NAN reports that he died immediately from the accident.
Adekunle Ajibade, the commander of the state Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) in Sango-Ota, blamed the incident on “dangerous and reckless driving” by the truck driver.
He said the corpse of the traditional ruler has been deposited at the state hospital in Ota.
Ajibade, who described the accident as avoidable, cautioned motorists against reckless driving.
