Justice Chima Nweze of the Supreme Court of Nigeria is dead.
THE WITNESS confirms that Nweze died on Sunday at the age of 64.
Director of Information of the Supreme Court, Festus Akande, in a phone conversation confirmed the death of Justice Nweze, adding that official Press Statement will be released soon.
Justice Nweze gained significant attention for his dissenting judgment in 2020, wherein he declared Emeka Ihedioha of the People Democratic Party (PDP) as the rightful winner of the 2019 Governorship election in Imo State.
