The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has retired more senior management staff.
This is in addition to the three Executive Vice Presidents who are exiting the national oil company in 2024.
In a statement on Monday night, NNPCL disclosed that the affected management staff are those with less than fifteen (15) months to statutory retirement.
Their retirements takes effect from 19th September, 2023, the oil firm said.
According to the oil firm, the development is line with its “bid to pursue effective organisational renewal to support the delivery of our strategic business objectives, it has become imperative to rejuvenate our workforce.”
“This is in line with our commitment to scale up NNPC Ltd.’s capabilities through targeted talent management and equal opportunity for all Nigerians.”
Recall, NNPCL had on Sunday, announced the retirement of the Executive Vice President, Gas, Power and New Energy Abdulkabir Ahmed; Executive Vice President Upstream, Engr. Adokiye Tombomieye; and Executive Vice President, Downstream Adeyemi Adetunji
The company also named their replacement with Olalekan Ogunleye now appointed as the EVP Gas and power and New Energy. He is to replace Ahmed who had served the company in various capacity before the retirement. Also, EVP Upstream Tombomieye is to be replaced by Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan who before now the Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer is.
