Lola Ade John began her academic career at the University of Ibadan, where she graduated in 1984 with a B.Sc. in Computer Science. She has the distinction of becoming the top graduate in her class that year because to her outstanding performance.

She supported systems for Petroleum Engineers and the Personnel department across multiple departments during her National Youth Service year.
She worked as a System Analyst at The Shell Petroleum Development Company Of Nigeria Ltd for 7 years and 3 months, making a substantial contribution to important projects thanks to her commitment and knowledge.
As she joined Magnum Trust Bank Ltd. (now a division of Sterling Bank Nigeria Plc.), where she was instrumental in developing the departments of information technology, administration, personnel & training, and business development, her career continued to thrive.
She effectively introduced new technological platforms for the bank, ensuring its competitiveness and expansion. She was a pioneer in the usage of structured cabling in the Nigerian banking sector. She joined Access Bank Plc in June 1998 and was appointed group head of support services and technology.
She oversaw transformational projects for 13 years and 1 month, including the establishment of a new head office and data center with a $3 million technology investment. Her creative methods, such establishing a paperless office, raised the bar for productivity and sustainability.
In order to advance the bank’s expansion and modernization, Lola Ade John worked as the Head of Applications at United Bank for Africa. In this role, she oversaw a project team that moved customer and bank data to a centralized core banking platform.
Lola Ade John launched Novateur Business Technology Consultants in 2014, where she currently serves as the Principal Consultant.
