The Nigerian journalism community is mourning the loss of Ajibade Owefoso, a seasoned correspondent with Trust TV, who passed away in his sleep at his Lagos apartment over the weekend.
Owefoso’s body was discovered by neighbors on Saturday morning, September 7, after he failed to respond to knocks on his door. He is survived by his wife and three children, who reside in Imo State.
Colleagues and dignitaries, including Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, have paid tribute to Owefoso’s exceptional journalism skills and dedication to his craft.
Ibrahim Shehu Adamu, Chief Operating Officer of Trust TV, described him as adynamic and passionate reporter" whose absence will be deeply felt.
Owefoso’s sudden passing has left a void in the journalism community, and he will be remembered for his vibrant reporting style and commitment to ethical journalism.
