The Chairman of the Presidential Committee on the Implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s End of Year Transportation Subsidy Program, Mr. Dele Alake, has revealed that over 160,000 people had benefited from the program, which expires on January 4, 2024.
The Minister of Solid Mineral Development, Mr. Dele Alake, revealed this today in a post on his official X account.
According to him, the program has been a big success, with massive numbers of passengers being recorded by both the Nigeria Railway Commission and the Association of Luxury Bus Owners of Nigeria.
He went on to say, “As the Chairman of the Committee on the Implementation of the End of Year Transportation Subsidy Program of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I am pleased to report that our program has been a tremendous success, benefiting over 160,000 passengers across the country.”
According to the Chairman of the Committee, the Nigerian Railway Commission has ferried roughly 71,000 passengers thus far, while ALBON has transported 77,122 passengers within the same period.
