Biography
Ekperipe Epo is a well known Nigerian politician. He served in Aba, Etim Epo, Ika House of Representative, National assembly from May 2007 to May 2011, and he was succeeded by Emmanuel Bartholomew Ekon. He was the akwa-ibom democratic forum’s (ADF) Director General.
In July, He was nominated to serve as Nigeria’s minister of State [gas] petroleum resources. He is well known for his active engagement in politics and community development, owning to his devotedness to Christianity.
Educational Career of Ekperipe Epo
His early years were affected by his native surroundings and cultural background. He attended a village school where the background for his educational career was laid. He earned a degree and gained information and skills that would serve as stepping stone for his future career in public service.
Professional Career of Ekperipe Epo
His political career began in 2022 when he was elected as the APC senatorial candidate for Akwa-Ibom North West senatorial district. Prior to this, he served in the national assembly as a member of the Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal constituency from 2007 to 2011. This experience stretched his political horizon, with untainted reputation as a devoted grassroots politician. As a reckoned member of the APC, he was instrumental in pushing the party’s aims and ideals in his home state.
His commitment to community development prompted him to serve as chairman of the council before his election to the House of Representatives. Furthermore, his position as Director General of the Akwa-Ibom democratic forum (ADF) demonstrates his dedication to fostering democratic principles and political involvement.
In a Historic gesture, Bola Ahmed Tinubu nominated him for the position of minister of State [gas] petroleum resources. The nomination recognizes Ekperipe’s contributions to politics and public service, together with his ability to make more contributions at the national level.
Meanwhile, as Ekpo made a name for himself in Nigerian politics and public service, his path has not been without controversy. These scandals have affected public opinions of him and complicated his political reputation. His connection with APC, has been a major cause of contention as it has triggered mixed reaction.
Many have expressed worry over Ekpo’s leadership style. Some have accused him of using aggression to further his career in politics, while others claim that his approach is lagging in openness and inclusion. Despite the magnitude of assertions, there have been no lucid proof to back them up – but have only added to suspicions following his actions and judgments.

Multiple reports reveal that he is worth about one million dollars, but this figure is yet to be confirmed.
