Taiwo Odukoya, the senior pastor and founder of The Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos, is dead.
He was aged 67.
A statement posted on the Church’s official Facebook page on Tuesday, said that the popular clergy died on Monday, August 7, 2023 in the United States of America.
The statement read: “The Fountain of Life Church Family, in total submission to the will of God Almighty, announces the passing unto greater glory of our Father, our Teacher, a great servant of the Most High God Pastor Daniel Taiwo Odukoya, Founding Pastor of The Fountain of Life Church, who passed unto glory on the 8th of August 2023 in the USA.
“We are in total submission to you LORD!!!
“We thank the Lord for the gift of a great leader”.
The late preacher had lost his second wife, Nomthi, in November 2021.
His first wife, Bimbo, was a popular televangelist who died in the ill-fated Sosoliso crash on December 10, 2005.
Born on June 15, 1956, Pastor Odukoya holds a degree in petroleum engineering and worked for 12 years with the defunct Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) until his voluntary retirement in 1994 to concentrate in ministry.
