In a new development, the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has appointed Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu to lead the national governorship campaign council ahead of the Kogi State poll slated for November 11 .
Suleiman Arugungu, the party’s National Organising Secretary, made the announcement in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday night.
Recall, the APC had on Tuesday denied earlier documents containing notable names of chairmen, co-chairmen and members of campaign councils for Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi States that went viral in the media.
On the new list, Sanwo-Olu will be assisted by Governors Mohammed Bago (Niger) and Sani Uba (Kaduna), who have been selected as co-chairmen of the campaign council.
Notable members such as the National chairman of the APC, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje; the host governor, Yahaya Bello; Minister of Works, David Umahi and Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle also made the 191-member campaign council for Kogi State
