Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Sunday evening defeated the Selecao of Sao Tome and Principe 6-0 to top group A.
Napoli forward , Victor Osimhen Opened scoring in the 13th minute when he headed home from a cornerkick to put the Super Eagles in the lead.
Atalanta of Italy forward, Ademola Lookman doubled the lead in the 27th minute to put scores at 2-0 to secure half time win.
In the second half, Nottigham Forest attacker, Taiwo Awoniyi scored the third goal for Nigeria before Osimhen then scored his second on the night, few minutes after the Napoli forward converted from the Penalty spot to make it four in favour of Nigeria.
Substitute Samuel Chukwueze then added the sixth goal of the night to complete the routing of the Selecao of Sao Tome and Principe.
The result meant that the Super Eagles finish the 2024 AFCON qualifiers top of group A.
